Today I don’t have much homework so I decided to be random and blog. So far in my life it’s been pretty hectic, mostly homework and stuff to handle as it’s A Level year this year! So my readers on ff.net will have to wait longer before I update. But do not worry! I am actively thinking of chapters to write and actually have a weird Byakuya x Rukia from Bleach fanfic hiding somewhere in my head.
Things that have been taking my time these few months so far have been:
1. Homework, tutorials, tests
2. ODAC
3. Manga~
4. Sleep. I am trying to push in 4 hours a day.
Tomorrow is LECTURES DAY! Which means I just walk around the school, attending lectures and looking vaguely confused throughout all of them. Ah hahahaha.
Today Anushka and I were really random. I think it’s the Increased Fatigue Syndrome. See, I have a theory that the less hours I sleep, the more random I become. Of course, the most sleepy I become and less likely to speak random stuff when I am sleeping but an equilibrium is reached usually when I sleep around 4 to 5 hours a day as it sort of balances upon the level that I sleep just right or too little.
So I tend to go a bit wonky the next day and think of random stuff to entertain myself with. However, the theory that I have come up with sort of contradicts when it comes to me as it doesn’t really matter whether I have lots of sleep or no sleep at all, I am equally random.
Perhaps we need another experimental subject.
Anyway, today was no exception. Went around laughing for no apparent reason during lessons while struggling to do some work and also told Anushka a funny line I heard on television.
You know that crappy show called ‘After Hours’?
There’s this part in the show where one of the main leads, (Utt!) doesn’t exactly know how to react to a girl who just said ‘I Love You’ to him so he goes to his friend (don’t know) for advice.
Utt: I mean, I never actually said ‘I love you’ back to anyone before! Except maybe my mum…
Friend: So when a girl says that to you, you change the topic. Like when she says that she loves you, you say… TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!
His friend is the friend that falls asleep when a girl is making out with him.
Then Anushka said: Nellyn, there are people who go high on drugs, and there are people who go high on alcohol. You don’t need any of those. You just need fresh air and you’re already high.
Imagine what I’d be like on an alcohol high…
And I discovered something else about myself these days.
We had a book fair on Friday. It was a rather nice book fair and there were many books. And then I discovered that…
People buy clothes on a whim.
People buy shoes on a whim.
I buy books on a whim.
So I decided to buy Freakonomics when I don’t take Economics at all; I’ve always maintained that I am a very sensible person and having to take a sensible subject like Economics and having to talk about having sense would just crack me up and make me fail all my papers easily.
So! That is just another one random update. Aggie darling bought Kite Runner. We shall switch!
And I’ve got to talk about all the nice concerts I’m going to this year!
5th April: AJC Guitar concert
14th April: RJC Choir concert
16th April: AJC Choir concert
18th May: VJC Guitar concert
I seem to have a very concentrated base for music…
I’ve been busy with something new now…
Which is downloading manga~!
Quite cool really, get to reread the old volumes that I once read before and get to read about the ones that I’ve heard about and never got to read before. However it’s quite time consuming really, to go and download the volumes and to read them. But I do it quite quickly and it’s very satisfying to finish a volume.
So far, I’ve got a few series done and am going through other series now.
Shall be random and list them out here~
Completed Series:
1. Hana Kimi (read this because of Channel U)
2. Sennin No Yuki (thanks to Smeeeee~~)
3. Akuma no Eros ( I sort of regretted reading this up in the first place)
On-going series:
1. Perfect Girl Evolution (Amusing story, don’t like the art though)
2. W Juliet (Older manga I’ve read before and finished. It’s a pain waiting for the next volumes)3. Vampire Knight (Quite nice and romantic. I like this manga much!)
4. DNAngel (I can vouch that this is far better than the anime)
5. Café Kichijyoji (it’s actually completed in 3 volumes but apparently no one has the 3rd one, which is a pity)
6. xxxHolic (Slice of Life type of manga, from CLAMP so expect pretty drawings and clothes and great storylines)
7. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles (one of the most twisting and shocking types of manga ever. More so than Bleach. I am completely in awe of CLAMP for coming up with this type of storyline.)
Series that I am thinking of taking up:
1. Bleach (only thing stopping me is the number of volumes)
2. 666Satan (quite interesting plot; creator is the younger twin brother of the creator of Naruto)
3. Getbackers (Quite understandable really. The earlier art and number of volumes turn me off)
4. Tokyo Babylon (under recommendation)
5. X/1999 (under recommendation)
Well I am supposed to be doing and editing my GP essay now but I just read volume 19 of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles so I am obviously not in the mood for this homework thing.
LIKE OMG OMG OMG SO MANY THINGS HAPPENED. IT’S DAMN SHOCKING OMG HOW CAN CLAMP DO THAT TO US AND MAKE IT SO TERRIBLE FOR THEM OMG OMG OMG IT’S LIKE…
I absolutely CANNOT believe it! Why did CLAMP put it in such a manner!
In the words of Mrs. Bennet: I shall go distracted.
And Chuang Yi! I want volume 16 and 17 out soon okay? Because the English translation I got is a tad weird and I don’t understand it. And I’ve got some missing chapters on my list so I want to know what happened in between the two volumes, 17 and 18.
Actually too much shocking things are like not good as the readers will have heart attacks and die before they read the next volume. But seriously, it becomes very, very complex! They deal with so many things! And it becomes all twisted and such…
Very strange. The villain is more than he seems. He’s very organized I must say. Very well planned storylines.
And CLAMP seems to have a rabid fascination with EYES.
Read xxxHolic and Tsubasa and you’ll know why. They just love the idea of eyes switching around for no apparent reasons. Ah wells. Perhaps eyes are indeed windows to the soul…?
Their art is uber cool man.
I am now quite determined to skip the entire Bount arc already to stop people from laughing at me for missing Bleach.
