On the 7th day of the Lunar New Year, it’s EVERYONE’S birthday! Happy birthday everyone!My first drabble! Exactly 100 words. Looks rather curt though.
The Caiman The caiman loves children. Children love stories.
And the caiman has many to tell.
He smiles when they approach, weaving wonderful stories but halfway, the caiman stops, worrying the children.
Crying, the caiman says that his teeth hurt so much that he can only tell stories for so long. See the blood? That’s where they have pierced his gums.
He begs the children to pull them out because his mouth is too large for his legs to reach in.
The children help.
And when the adults show, the caiman smiles again, for now he has a new tale to tell.

Time taken: Under half an hour
Inspiration: Neil Gaiman (See, Caiman?), Roald Dahl’s The Crocodile and Beastly Tales, 4 hours of sleep and a bus ride home.

For the rest, a caiman is a type of crocodile with a more elegant looking snout. It’s also a little smaller than the usual crocodiles that Hollywood uses for its dramatic cliché horror dramedies.
