Okay, yes I know, everyone’s saying that my blog is dead, my blog is a goner and a lazy woman like me shouldn’t have a blog in the first place. Well I’m sorry, that I haven’t been blogging, I mean a lot of other stuff catches my attention too, you know. Like…
Bleach. (I love you all!)
Tsubasa Chronicles. (Adeline! You caught the craze! Yay!)
Chobits.
Erm. Holidays in general.
Revolting. (ie refusing to blog when I know I have to)
Plain laziness.
And of course, the all favourite...
Errrr...
...
Me generally being a complete brat. Yes.
Oh okay, hmmm something to blog about.
On Friday I went with my dad, who was going with his friends to MacRitchie to run. That was cool with me, I needed to practise on 2.4 anyway. So went with them, ran the race, did some circuit training after running, then the whole lot of them decided to go for dinner.
And dinner… they really, really mean dinner.
I mean, they can eat, you know. One ordered fish and chips for everyone from this pasta store in a hawker centre, then came some cha kuay tiao, and then they had this massive drink of what, watermelon juice? And after that drink, there was this huge cup of beetroot juice and watermelon juice or whatever, and then they tell me that they're being disciplined!
For when they really went out, for example, all 6 of them, anyone ordering a dish would order 6 servings of the same dish. If everyone goes and scouts around for good food and finds it... one would return to find 36 dishes on the table.
My dad said that happened once, as one of them invited others for dinner. Everyone came, they ordered before they reached the table, only to discover that their friend had already ordered for them, and the table was LADEN with food...
And it was HORRIBLE.
So, now if I run with them, it’s generally not the running I’m afraid of, it’ll be what comes AFTER the running.
So unlike Chia’s training. Talking about that: I’m going back to train tomorrow!
I need to find my swimming costume.

Author’s Warning: THIS HAPPENED MORE THAN TWO WEEKS AGO.
The weekend of getting back my O’ Level results and attempting to apply for a JC has been a rather hectic five-six, erm, six days. Honestly, I am utterly exhausted. And I am running out of money. It’s that depressing.
So let’s begin with:
Friday!
Okay Friday we had no school and I was at home slacking… no wait, I distinctively remember waking up at an ungodly hour of 7am in the morning to get all my Valentine’s Day presents out for everyone. I made ten boxes for all the people I was close to in school, and then distributed Hershey’s kisses for everyone.
No one can resist them. They are most wondrous creations.
The Hershey chocolates, not my boxes.
So then I spent the morning making them, and then remembered that I had to return Liew’s twelfth book that she hadn’t even read yet, so I scanned in all the pictures I liked, including this scene where it sort of justifies why fanfiction.net has so many stories about Fye and Kurogane slash stories. I reached school at around 2pm, which was in the middle of some huge storm which made it really frustrating as everything got wet and icky (you’ll see why later). Got to school, found Supranee and some other people, then Liew came and we were talking; she lent me the second and third movie of Inuyasha, where Sesshoumaru appears for quite a decent amount of time- instead of the stupid first movie where he only appears in the first scene and talks in chinese, the horror- Yay!
After that, Liew and I exchanged gifts and everything; she gave me this lovely tube of peppermint chocolate sweets and a nice letter.
Then Adeline arrived, without her glasses. She was drenched to the bone, wet as anything and complaining about everything in general, except her HC tie which I feel bears a strong resemblance to our school tie, something which she hates very heartily.
So, Adeline was drenched. Then she saw that Liew and I were nice and dry. Being an evil Humanz student, she glomped me.
Okay I didn’t really hear clearly what she said, it sounded like ‘hump’ and ‘glomp’ sounds very similar to that, so I shall stick to the more decent version; and I wasn’t very sure which, I just knew that I didn’t like being hugged by small short wet people who hug me just for the sake of getting dry. Yelled at her a little, kicked her, and then gave her a Valentine’s Day gift.
She then proceeded to drag me to find several teachers. Don’t know for what. In the end, we were happily dragged to the Emmanuel Hall to take our results.
Sat at the back. Didn’t hear a word of what Lee Siew Choo said.
But then she went on about being very ‘speechless with joy’ and something about ‘two Dux Medallists’ and proceeded to read their names out.
A Dux Medallist is a girl who topped her cohort. This year there were two: Janice Chen and Supranee. They went to National Junior College and Raffles Junior College respectively.
Supranee was so excited about her grades that after being called up to shake Mrs. Lee’s hand that she called up her mother immediately and told her that she was the Dux Medallist of the year.
After that Ng Hui Choo came out and bored us all to tears with her talk about the JAE thing, and after much more false starts and irritating business, we finally got to getting back out results. Go us!
I was quite apprehensive about my results and honestly didn’t know what to feel.
In the end I found out that I got 7 distinctions, 5 irritating A2s and 2 meagre A1s, thus it became 10 points.
How utterly depressing.
When I heard Miss Koh say, very nicely, that I got ten points, I felt something akin to having no insides at all.
‘Oh.’
Just like that. ‘Oh.’
I mean, it’s good and all that I improved from my 11 points but… ‘Oh.’
10 points?
I honestly wanted at least a 9 or something…
The next thing was ‘Erm where am I going to go?’
Liew and I were in the same boat. We improved but… ‘Oh.’
We expected a single digit and all.
I think I know where I went wrong. I tell you, I think it was my stupid Geography. I have no idea what happened. I got a stupid A2?! And my Math. What happened to my Math? I knew I made careless mistakes and okay, getting an A2 for that is okay too but my A. Math! Wheeee! I got an A2! And I just told XL the night before I wouldn’t even have dared to dream about it!
Hahaha! Yay!
Okay I won’t say much about how I did, it’s depressing and sad.
So after the thing, it was around four in the afternoon and we technically hadn’t had lunch yet; I didn’t eat breakfast or lunch; felt too nervous to do so, and suddenly after getting all our results back we were terribly hungry for no apparent reason and thus decided to crash the nearest shopping centre for lunch/tea break!
Adeline had to leave for something or the other, had some outing or whatever later that night.
So XL, Liew and I were happily getting into bus 55 and chatting about our grades and where to go next, and what JCs to crash and how my school was as nice as to give us a break until Wednesday! :D
It was so nice. Then we landed outside Junction 8 and walked into the food section of the shopping mall, choosing what to eat. We didn’t like Macs, and it was full anyway, KFC was out, no one wanted it strangely, Long John Silvers was considered. XL and I were talking about Murphy’s Law, which I think simplifies to when one says that this wouldn’t happen, the exact opposite will happen. Liew and I were betting that she wouldn’t be able to find a place in Long John Silvers and XL readily took our bet on (probably because she saw this bunch of guys getting ready to leave- sneaky woman). So we waited outside, ready to congratulate ourselves that she wouldn’t win when she pointed at the table that this group of people were getting up from with a huge grin on her face.
I saw her face and was like ‘damn’ and then everything went blank because getting up right next to her was Gerard. He saw me and he had the exact same expression on his face.
It was really amusing as both Liew and XL didn’t recognise him at all until they saw my face to which his real face combined with the hazy memory they had of his face. Ah haha.
You see, the strangest thing was that there were many, many times where Gerard and I could have met, like once when I went to Junction 8 with Liew somewhere in the morning and we passed Macs, which was very crowded, discussing where to eat. I was against Macs because I was getting sick of fast food and Macs in general and we moved on.
Gerard said later that he was apparently sitting right in front of us at the entrance and we both never noticed each other’s existence. Ah haha.
So I was thinking, ‘Okay that was unexpected’. As I said hi, he went over and told his friends that he was daoing them for a bunch of girls.
In the end, we went over to Macs and sat down. Ugh, Macs again… that was the first day for which I had Macs for two days, and the two days after Monday.
I think I’m going to be sick. Approach me with another French fry and I will scream and run away from you. Or throw my handphone at you, so that it explodes and I’ll get a new one!
We sat there and talked.
And talked.
And talked.
He kept reminding me that Karmen wanted her Bleach DVDs and how I go a call from my family (eep) at 1654 hours. Yeah, he’s that meticulous.
Haha Liew said she noticed that at first Gerard and I had some distance between us, then by the end of the meal we were sitting next to each other, shoulders touching and apparently not caring at all.
Ah yes, Liew felt that she had to kick me several times. Because for the first time, I mentioned that she and XL were like an arguing couple as they were arguing something about their fries, about who having eaten what or whatever, something which is rather hazy to me now. After I said that, they both kicked me and Gerard, and Gerard was like ‘You call that a kick?’ because he, very fortunately, got kicked by XL. For me, I got the full force of Liew’s wrath. (Thanks, Gerard.)
And the other time because I placed my foot strategically in the wrong position, thus Liew found another reason to kick me. Argh. Much pain.
In end, we got out of Macdonald’s because Liew and XL conspired against us and left without warning. I managed to stop them though and followed them.
Gerard had a Mission. He had to get some Valentine’s Day stuff for some female friends of his. Or should I say girl friends, just to cause some major confusion. Yay.
One of them liked Inuyasha. Thus he employed Liew and me, as professional Inuyasha lovers, to help him get the girl something.
Went to Comics Connection and proceeded to look for a poster. We originally wanted Inuyasha posters as they are Pretty and Cool and Wonderful. Unfortunately, I was afraid that Inuyasha, being too long on the shelf, wouldn’t be there.
And I was right.
Found lots of Tsubasa Chronicles, Bleach, some Furuba and Full Metal Alchemist though. Is happy. -^_^-
In end we settled for some Inuyasha calendar as the figurines, plushies and everything else were too ugly.
I swear, I will never ever buy an anime plushie. It freaks me out. Figurines are okay, but plushies are out. Really.
Then he said this girl wanted a photo frame for her dog. Okay. A dog. Right.
Then we went to some gift shop. Junction 8 is swarming with them. They are everywhere!
But, naturally, Gerard’s reply to this was: OMG it exists?!
Apparently his map of j8 extends only to the food section.
Found some photo frame with the theme of dogs while XL and Liew window-shopped for XL’s Valentine’s Day gift for her friend. Liew and I saw this cute figurine about this family taking a picture and said to each other that we would buy that for XL when she got married.
See the word, ‘when’.
Ah, XL, don’t kill me!
In the end, Gerard had to go off and Liew and XL wanted to go Marina Square to eat dinner. I on the other hand, wanted to go home for dinner. Gerard was trying to persuade me to go with Liew and XL. This is how our argument went.
Okay I say it’s an argument but it’s a friendly one. Like bickering.
‘But they’re your friends! You barely get to see them!’
‘But this is my family. I have to eat dinner with them.’
‘Ah see, it’s only family. Not your friends…’
‘Gnnnh.’
Liew said that she finds our arguments very amusing. They’re nice; they add flavour to the conversation. Heck, Gerard and I argue about everything in general. It keeps things interesting.
Oh, and I’m tempted to do a Renji x Rukia one-shot fic.
Too bad!
Ah yes, so we separated. Gerard took a cab home I think. Liew and XL went by MRT. I took a bus home.
In the end, I found out that it was good that I had Macs at 5-plus. My family called me and told me to settle dinner myself.
Gerard now gleefully reminds me about this incident whenever I talk about eating dinner with my family.
But I still had some soup! I am happy!

Saturday:
Oh dear, Friday took three pages.
But Saturday, there’s nothing much to blog about, only that Liew and I went cycling alone, and reminisced about stuff and O Levels in general. You didn’t miss much.
Ah yes. I came home to this deserted house and had to settle dinner by myself again. Church was at 7.30pm; I ate dinner, bathed and watched my taped version of Full Metal Alchemist and Matantei Loki Ragnarok (not necessarily in that order) and still managed to get to church at 7.15pm.
I am one paranoid woman.

Sunday:
I like biscuits. Yum.
Sunday was the day where we had a class outing. My PDG class in AJC larh.
Then again, how can it be considered as a class outing when only 7 out of 23 people turned up?
There was Yann Yee, Andy, William, Yi De, Anushka, Natalie and me. We were going to Sentosa.
Something in me went deja-vu. I went to Sentosa last year for my class outing. For more details, please check my archives entitled ‘My Louge is Stuck’.
So first, there were late issues, getting lost issues, prank call issues, ticket issues, and issues in general.
I was slightly late, we were supposed to meet at 1pm. Went to Harbourfront shopping centre place thingy, found Yann Yee and Andy, and we proceeded to wait for Natalie and everyone else.
They got there on time, but went out the wrong entrance, so we had to find them. We walked around the MRT station like so many times. Everyone was laughing about me about how obsessed I was, by climbing all the stairs. I like the stairs. They’re fun!
When we were about to go to Sentosa on that funny bus thing, William got this call from his hostel mate, something about a scholarship or a letter, something that he was supposed to get but he didn’t. So he got off the bus and went back. Then he came back and told us it was a prank call.
We reached Sentosa somewhere after 2pm and were pretty happy.
Then we found out that everything had a huge price tag and retreated from places like Underwater World, Siloso Beach and everywhere else in general.
My camera died somewhere along this path.
We traipsed to Siloso Beach where Yi De, Anushka and I proceeded to make our own city. We had a canal and everything, Yi De did this very puffy looking village, while William worked on his Coliseum. Whatever. That funny building thing the Romans built. The one where they had all the gladiators fight in. Erm.
We spent quite a long time at the beach, probably about 2 hours, then Natalie wanted to see this Encounters with Animals show. All the animals were un-cooperative buggers and refused to do any tricks. But in the end we managed to take pictures with a nice albino python, an iguana nearly scratched my arm off, and the monkeys. Okay, they’re like apes. Erm.
After the show, we went back to the beach and took more nice pictures, and William claimed that he was a terrible person when it came to cameras. Ah well.
In the end, we left Sentosa, because firstly, Anushka forgot to tell her hostel leader person that she was staying out late. So she left first. After a while, all of us left as Natalie and William also had to deal with their hostel leader person. They were going to a no-dinner hostel as they would come home too late, it being around 5-plus and their dinner was around 6 I think. So they were planning on getting dinner first before they got home.
We walked our way back to Singapore, along that long bridge path. William, Natalie, Yi De and I were in front of Andy and Yann Yee, and we were teasing them about how they were getting together, because they were talking and all…
Okay, not a valid reason. But I don’t know, they came in through DSA and they’re probably leaving to go poly or something, so yeah, it’s natural that we being bored 16/17 year olds would come up with something just to annoy each other.
All four of us walked ahead, really ahead and tried to get pictures of Yann Yee and Andy walking together on the bridge. They spotted us and walked apart for quite a while, then they would come back to talking distance, then we ran away but finally they chased us down…
We separated at Outram Park MRT as I was going to the airport to send Cheryl Tan off who was going to Australia to study medicine. She is cool.
There were at least 12 4A1 people there who came to send her off. We were quite a rowdy bunch, and we took many photos, Sheryl commented that we were like rock stars, coming together and posing for many of the cameras. Haha…
So we posed and sent our well-wishes to Cheryl, who was in tears in the end. Many of them got her stuff but I didn’t, so I very nicely said that I was giving her hugs from Sentosa. It was quite sad… but we managed to be the ones who pressed our oil-caked noses, okay we used the funny clean and clear paper thing, to the glass and to wave Cheryl goodbye as she walked towards her gate.
After that, we went for dinner. We ate Burger King, talked about 4A1 stuff as usual, talked a bit about our JCs and new friends, teased someone a little…
Finally when we had to leave, it was fairly reluctant. We hung around and talked a lot, Ruth and Ying Le promising to bring me, XL and Liew for ice-skating. It was rather sad, the way we all separated.
But we’ll get together again. Somehow, somewhere, some place.
We’ll come back and talk about stuff. We’d still be great friends.
I’d still get lost along the way though.

Monday!
I just realised that that was an obscenely short post.
Barely a page. I’m disappointed.
And I am more than a week behind schedule. Tsk tsk.
So anyway, Monday was a slack day. Didn’t do much, only rushed out this piece of fiction that everyone wanted me to finish, and I was telling myself I had to finish it anyway, so yes, I finished it.
And also, Monday was the day where Liew had this half-crazed idea to go ice-skating. And I was saying that I had gone out for two days in a row, and I was tired and I wanted to slack at home. Then she relented. Then that night, XL came up with this brilliant plan for us to crash her JC.

End of Part I
