i have officially found a new cartoon/anime series to admire and go gaah-gaah over.
it's called Fruits Basket!!!!!
WARNING IT'S GONNA BE SOME REALLY REALLY LOOOONNNGGG...umm... THINGY DUE TO THE FACT IM PRACTICALLY RECITING THE FIRST EPISODE.

basically the story is about this girl called honda tohru who's mother died in a car accident. she was supposed to go to her paternal grandfather's house to live in but they were renovating the house so she was supposed to fend for herself for a couple of months or so. sho she dint wanna bother her friends hana-san and uo-chan -gawd im speaking like jap! no its cos i cant rmbr their full names hahahah- so she brought herself a tent and got herself a night job so as to be able to pay for school fees and etc.

oh yeah hana-san's this really cool gothic telekinetic gal. hahahaha she and her brother... umm megumi yeah, they're both like psychics and can sense auras and such. hahah she's also able to electrocute pple.. in a way larh.. using her tk powers hahaha
arisa ou...something... used to be a gangster and becos of tohru's mom she got outta the gangs so she's really grateful and such and she treats tohru really well as a sort of thanks to her mom and she goes round carrying a steel pole.

so she buys a tent and pitches it in some forest larh... on her way to school she sees whole group of animal figurines drying -i think- on some veranda of some house... the chinese zodiac, including the cat. she admires them and meets the owner of the house shigure sohma -OMG I LOVE HIM!!! *sorry*- they chat a bit about the animals and tohru tells of how her mom used to tell her the story of the chinese zodiac and how the cat was tricked by the mouse on the eve of some important meeting and the cat dint go so the cat hated the mouse forever etc and she went on saying how she likes the cat alot etc etc etc
oh yeah... shigure's a pervert.
so he's making some provocative statement when someone hits his head using a school bag and she sees the other person living in the house yuki sohma who's some popular guy in her school. -in the chinese series he's voiced by some woman and i had a hell of a time trying to decide whether he was gay or not....- he's in his first year like her and already has a fan club... the prince yuki fan club where half the girls in the school are in it.
so they walk to school together and naturally tohru gets ambushed by the jealous fan club members etc but i think uo beats them off while hana electrocutes them -go hana!-
so the bit on school i cant rmbr just the conversation with yuki and tohru about the chinese zodiac and yuki not liking the cat as he thinks the cat is stupid and such.
so yuki and tohru walk home and tohru begs them to let her stay in the forest as the entire forest belongs to the sohma family...
bloody rich pple.
then umm... i THINK she got a fever of sorts. cant rmbr why... hahahahahha see im such a horrible storyteller... ^^
she stayed over at the house. at night a dog/wolf howls and shigure informs them of a landslide near the area. tohru is fanatic as her tent may be destroyed and the picture of her mom is in the tent. yuki tells her to relax and rest and go to bed and such. so she being some nice girl goes to bed and sleeps it off, talking in her sleep about how guilty she feels on the day of the accident as that was the only day she dint bother to tell her mom to be careful out on the streets. shigure overhears her talking and he and yuki discuss abit on her and then yuki decides to go and look for her stuff.
shigure thinks he's going alone and yuki disappears into a mass of bright shiny eyes... all mice hahahahahhaha
next day she wakes up she finds the pic of her mom by her side and yuki carrying all her muddy stuff. he tells her that her tent's been destroyed and asks her if she would like to stay here. shigure then strikes a deal with her, saying that she can stay here if she cooks and cleans the house etc etc etc and surprise surprise tohru LIKES cooking and cleaning. so she bcomes the housekeeper of sorts.

so she still wants to go to school in her muddy uniform... -stupid girl- and before she can do anything the roof crashes in - should be larh cant really rmbr- and she meets kyou some orange hair guy... who wants to fight with yuki
to prevent them from fighting tohru grabs kyou from behind indirectly hugging him and in a poof of smoke, kyou is gone with only his clothes left and a pissed off orange cat is standing where he stood. so the roof continues to collapse and she grabs shigure and yuki and they both turn into a dog and rat respectively.
there! done! so basically, its about this cursed family, the sohmas who change into animals of the zodiac when hugged by the opposite sex or when they're feeling incredibly weak. and anyone who finds out about this secret has their memories wiped out.
the umm... wad are they called.. .juunishi or something.. .yeah they're able to attract animals of their spirit, like shigure knowing af a landslide when a dog howls and yuki going with his micey friends to find tohru's stuff. and oh yeah, when kyou's pissed he gets surrounded by cats. hahaha he also has some cat like abilities, like being able to jump off the second storey in a building and land unhurt.
-grins sheepishly at glaring crowd- sorry. i shoullldd have placed that right at the front right? ^^ instead of making you read all these...
ahem. spare me some... crazy bimbotic girl behaviour okay?
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG SHIGURE'S SOOOOOOOOO CUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTEEEE!!!!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

ahem. i couldnt decide between yuki or kyou so i gave up on liking any of them and decided on shigure. he has his writer's kimono which he wears around the house! ah ah ah ah ah!!! ^^
oh you know, hatori sohma is possessed by the dragon spirit. but instead of changing into some impressive beeeeeg dragon he becoems a 8cm seahorse!!! hahahahahhahahaha oh he's the one that wipes out the memories too.
